Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) announced the construction of Xi'an Daxia Tower, a sustainable marvel, at the core of Xi'an's thriving high-tech zone. The city's booming technology ecosystem, housing Fortune 500 companies and research institutions, has spurred the need for modern infrastructure that blends architectural brilliance with eco-friendly initiatives.

Xi'an, one of China's largest inland cities with a burgeoning population, has rapidly evolved into a technology hub, attracting global corporations and researchers. Supported by national and local government initiatives, the city's high-tech economic and technological development zone has become the driving force behind its economic growth. Amid this development, Daxia Group partnered with Zaha Hadid Architects to create a landmark tower that stands as a testament to sustainability.

The Xi'an High-Tech Economic and Technological Development Zone, located on Line 6 of Xi'an's metro system, houses manufacturing and R&D bases for numerous Fortune 500 companies and multinational corporations. The new Daxia Tower, situated at the city's southwest, emerges as the nucleus of the high-tech zone, surrounded by high-rise buildings that house corporate headquarters, commercial offices, international hotels, and residential developments.

Planned on a 16,700 sq. m site, the 210 m Daxia Tower integrates 127,220 sq. m of offices, retail, and ancillary facilities. The tower's elegant design reflects its surroundings, with patterned glazing and atriums capturing natural light, offering panoramic views of the historic city and the bustling high-tech zone.


Green Features for Sustainability

With a focus on promoting employee well-being and environmental preservation, the tower's interiors are designed with data analytics and behavior modeling. Future-proofed and adaptable workplaces ensure a healthy and enjoyable work environment. To achieve LEED Gold certification and China's Green Building Program's highest three-star rating, the tower employs several eco-friendly features:
