TIER Mobility Introduces Integrated Micro-Mobility Services in Limerick and Navan, Ireland

TIER Mobility, in collaboration with nextbike by TIER, introduces diverse micro-mobility options in Limerick and Navan, Ireland, including push bikes, e-bikes, and e-cargo bikes. The integrated services aim to reduce car usage and promote eco-friendly transportation solutions.

In Navan, the new services provide 20 push bikes, 25 dockless e-bikes, and three cargo bikes, offering a wide range of commuting choices to cater to various needs and potentially decrease reliance on cars. Push bikes offer a cost-effective and leisure-friendly solution for both daily commutes and recreational rides. E-bikes provide a convenient and efficient way to complete door-to-door journeys effortlessly, while e-cargo bikes serve specific tasks such as shopping or running errands.

The integration of back-end systems between TIER and nextbike by TIER, accomplished after the 2021 acquisition, enables the provision of combined services through a single operator app. TIER's multimodal approach aims to offer a diverse range of micro-mobility options tailored to meet the transportation needs of different cities and towns, including docked push bikes, e-bikes, dockless e-scooters, and e-cargo bikes.

Alex Souter, Regional General Manager for South-West Europe & Middle East at TIER, expressed the company's mission to make it easy for people to opt for sustainable transportation choices and leave their cars behind. By enticing more people onto two wheels, TIER aims to encourage local and national governments to invest in proper segregated infrastructure, reclaim space from cars in urban areas, and create pedestrian-friendly environments for residents and visitors.

As TIER Mobility continues to expand and enhance its multimodal offerings, the company seeks to play a significant role in advocating for environmentally friendly transportation options on a global scale. The introduction of integrated micro-mobility services in Limerick and Navan marks a step towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly future for urban transportation.
